    feeling that's why he's handed it in. Fancy handing it in on Transfer Deadline day though, that's just asking for egg on your face if it nothing comes of it.

    Yeah if he ends up staying things might be a tad awkward for him when the squad re-assembles. According to wikipedia (that ever reliable source) his relationship with the fans has been a bit patchy recently as well, suffice to say that Gyan might not be the most popular player ever if he stays at Sunderland after this.
