The op also used this as a title to a thread "Saints to offer Paul Mitchell role in wake of Les Reed's exit"
Everything is done with such sensationalism now. I went to identify a fish on YouTube the other day, and the click bait headlines are just pure madness. One day, it will be hard to find real news.
Except that the win ratio quoted is exactly that. Not brilliant but the loss ratio is much lower than our last 3 managers
Feels like the sort of appointment that should have been done in the summer. Big ask putting all these fires out at this time. And it feels like we have only got one more fatal appointment left before we start making plans for life in the lower leagues. No way we are getting out of jail with another bad choice, we're on the ropes already.
Who do we think will seriously join us at this time of the season?, we are not going to get a successful Manager currently working IMO.
Some of you are way to moany. How do we know DTLW is not correct in both cases? I just find it weird that you jump on a guy that has given us info for years.
The club is obviously going to tell a Southampton Jorno that we are talking to Paulo Souza whilst Hughes is in charge... That would be bloody a good idea for him to put into print! :/
I still cannot see any sense in messing about with the Manager situation until the new Director of Football, or whatever title he is given is in place (why is it taking so long?) , he is sure to be involved in any deals and may be the one to chose who he wants managing the side. Sacking Mark Hughes now would be a bit stupid, and not that simple as his support team will need sorting out too.
Nobody has jumped on dtlw. As you say,he has given us plenty of correct info in the past.but u must admit this thread title is misleading
Out of the last 4 managers! He excites me the most. Also in recent times he has done some decent work! Also Roma seem interested too, whether that is true or not I don't know, but he seems to be a good fit potentially for two I'd like to see us play.
Particularly when: - One of those pieces of information was a direct quote from the journalist that we use to disseminate information that we want public; - The other is corroborated in large part by another national paper. There's absolutely no reason to doubt DTLW generally. I'd say that's doubly true here.
