When did I say I was against democracy? Perfectly happy for people to support fascists/BNP/EDL..etc. But let's call a spade a spade... ie not pretend that Fascism is a cute cuddly regime that does not have ethnocentrism (ie racism) as one of it's core beliefs. If people are happy not to be disgusted by that then that's their prerogative...

Your comments/thoughts are as destructive and hateful as any Di Canio might say/think. You claim that anyone who believes Di Canio has the right to hold his beliefs are apologists and closet racists; that those that believe in free speech are hiding behind a smoke screen designed to hide their xenophobia. Someone should be able to despise fascism and yet still support another's right to believe in it's ideology without fear of someone like you slandering them for it. In fact, your diatribes are far worse than any I have seen attributed to Di Canio so far.
I did not say that the supporters of Di Canio belong to some homogenous group of rabid racists. You KNOW the vast majority of those defending Di Canio to some degree sympathise with his position. On the one extreme the racists (who might be a small number) and the other extreme the non racist individual who sympathise with the disenfranchised working class who typically turn to this form of politics. To the latter I say there are far better ways to help this group then to show passive support/acceptance to this horrible ideology. Free speech reason you give is not relevant....no one is denying his right to have these thoughts or say these things....but arguing against the moral equivalence many are drawing between fascism with other forms of governance...and even worse the distancing of racism from fascism. In any case....does unadulterated free speech exist? Should it exist? Surely you will not give the same support to a manager who openly says it is OK to have sexual relationships with minors? Why not allow that? Why be the thought police there? As District line said...its not going to affect his job...so case closed right?
Mate, I got banned for being right, not abusing and picking apart weak arguments on the wum mouser thread ONLY, HIAG and NWIS and HBIC went crying to their mods and I got banned, for basically posting stuff they just had no reasonable answer to and they resorted to abuse and slagging off. I never gloated on match threads, in fact I reminded HIAG to not get into his crap on other spurs threads, I still got banned Pathetic really, it's akin to "i'm taking my board and going home"
