Skybet's reduced his odds for the Carlisle job from 25/1 to 2/1 favourite.

And against a backdrop of the club trying to improve everywhere, and with City looking to move forward and end this dreadful run at home, obviously the senior hierarchy have decided that now is the right time for
the club agreed to let him go, as he was not happy with being usurped / demoted. [ doesnt ring true with the opportunity aspect the club has promoted to start of 2021¬! ]
Didnt SL intervene /state in the begining stating the coaching staff were not part of NP coming... he works with them! .... also he did state maybe should have given an opportunity, but that was when we were losing everything .... had PS not got cancer then CURTIS would be in the Punjab as team coach. When you look at the results of teams CF has been involved with none have done any good?
time will tell .....

The point is though it’s who Nige wants, he’s ultimately responsible for results and will be judged on them, it’s only right he gets to chose who he wants to work with.

ABSOLUTELY,
from an article [ ep ] wiz posted back then.. page 26 or close ....

we have played 13 so 21 pts left to add to 16 already on the board, so NP could finish on 37 points and that would be a good result. HOWEVER the article takes the first 20 games as manager and for NP that would be a disaster ..... so was in charge for 13/14 games take last 7 as he had 7 warm up games!!! he has to beat L D D L L L L to get 20 game done ... first is WBA ... HOPE HE MAKES IT as on a massive salary and we have to go with it!!!!

It is of course the same for every club and these tough times are to be navigated. So how has Dean Holden done so far, at a rare rest point and with the halfway point in sight?
  • 20 games played
  • Nine wins, three draws, eight defeats
  • 20 goals scored, 21 conceded
  • 30 points taken

And in comparison, here's how Lee Johnson did in his first 20 league games (starting with City's 2-1 win over Ipswich Town on 13 February 2016, with the 20th game being a home loss against Newcastle United 0-1).
    • Nine wins, three draws, eight defeats - exactly the same record!
And by extension, here's Steve Cotteril''s record - albeit in the league below, of course, and taking over a team in a worse position.
    • Eight wins, seven draws, five defeats: 31 points
There's a long way to go this campaign and Holden has already experienced highs - twice nominated for the manager of the month award - and lows - with calls for him to lose his job already on social media.

Downing's future at Bristol City in doubt too
After Paul Simpson left the club today, Bristol Live understands that Keith Downing's future at the club is in doubt as well.

Talks are taking place and we expect a resolution over the weekend. It's likely that Downing is about to leave the Robins too.
