Lets be fair to the lad at the time he was growing up Hull City weren't even on the Radar, you would be lucky to get 5000 on the gate so it hardly inspired inspiration amongst the local areas school set up. I would imagine that Leeds would have been far better supported by the boys at School growing up they were in the Premier League at the time, and when they offered him a chance to join he was hardly going to say no thanks I want to play for Hull City in Division 3 and there tin pot set up was he!
Robinson was at City's school of excellence but Dolan cancelled it. He then went to yorks. It was nailed on from him being 13 that he was going to Leeds. And who can blame a young lad for joining a Premier League club? After all Jeff Barmby sent his lad to another club and Nick Barmby has done the same so why have a go at Robinson like some have? Can't recall him being a Leeds fan whenhe was playing junior football. Saw him in City goalkeeping tops and Liverpool ones but never Leeds. Can't see him coming here. He's good for a few more years at a salary City would never envisage paying.
