Wow. So Mourinho not only knew this would happen, but also knew it in Feb 2016. Three months before joining Utd and six months before signing Pogba. The man is truly visionary...
Really, why's that? I would have thought the anticipation in becoming the player we know he can be will put quite a bit of pressure on him.
Nah. British record signing, club record signing, still second most expensive player in the world. No pressure at all In fairness to Matth, the pressure will probably ease a bit after last summer's ridiculousness. But he will still be under pressure to perform, particularly now Matic has come in almost entirely to free up Pogba and give him license to get forward more.
He really wasn't. At least you cannot say that yet. For two reasons, 1) There haven't been any players half as good, or even as good (and by as good I mean as ****) , as Pogba that have gone for £90m 2) Pogba wasnt all that great last season. He wasn't as bad as some (mainly the red half of Merseyside) like to make out, but he wasn't exceptionally good either. Until both of those are made right, Jose wasn't right at all.
I'm very sure he has Over 100 minutes of football for Chelsea with 0 goals. Pogba was declared a flop after 3 games last season, Morata was brought to score goals so we got to keep to the same logic. Conte even said he might not play him in the charity shield because its too much for him....... oops
Because he won't be under scrutiny like he was a lot of the time last season, His every move was judged.
