Sorry to burst your bubble but when you hijack a song "that has been used for years" and add a political agenda to it, you'll find that it will suddenly have a different ring to it. Same applies to symbols (swastika is an obvious example).

Fancy going a bit further into that? Because that is clutching at straws if I ever saw it.

    It's obvious what he means.

That chant has been used for years by you lads, but when you sing it at 19:04 every home game you're singing it to make a political point about the name change debacle. This in turn gets the goat of those who think that the issue should be kept away from the match and they boo in return.

If you sang that song at 10, 20 or 30 minutes, it wouldn't create the same reaction to it, as it wouldn't hold the same meaning.

You should leave it out for your biggest game of the season on Saturday imho.

    Dons tin hat.

We've been signing City Till I Die at 19.04 for two years now, I don't think it's bothering anyone, even the Vice-Chairman has said he thinks it improves the atmosphere. That's not the chant that got booed, the booing was aimed at the 'Allam Out' chanting.

There was booing for both songs the other night, and it wasn't just at 19'04.

Why should I go further when that's all you seem to have to reply to it?

I think it's pretty ****ing clear. CTWD are solely to blame for turning a supportive chant into a symbol of their protest. You then somehow wonder why the sound of the tune may start to annoy those who don't agree with the protest.

    What protest?

Singing City Till I Die never had anything to do with getting rid of Allam.

CTWD was an anti NAME CHANGE group, not an anti ALLAM group.

How many times will that need to be posted before it gets through thick skulls like yours?

If all else fails make something up & pretend it's real.

Weak & also ignorant of the facts, it appears.

The 19:04 chant was clearly booed, you could hear it on the Sky coverage.

Do you really believe that? Wow. So did Anti-Allams create their own group or did they join CTWD? And before you shift responsibility, you should have known how that group was going to be perceived, the more numbers joined in the likelier the true intentions would merge with new ones.

It wasn't. A few, very few booed the "we want allam out" chant that immediately followed the CTID chant.

Same hypocritical ****s also booed the team as they are walked off at half time then booed a couple more chants in the second half before leaving after 80mins.

I believe it a lot more than your inaccurate bullshit.

Probably because CTWD itself said it on a number of occasions. They have also never announced that they want rid of the Allams. Also, because anti-Allam people are a members of said group, that does make the aims of the group anti-Allam at all. By that logic, if a white supremacist joined, would CTWD suddenly become a white supremacist group?

Of course, you wouldn't let the truth get in the way of your argument, would you? It must be nice to be so ignorant of the truth.
