This isn't about 'the Paul Jones' but the Paul Jones that plays for Exeter. In the sun today it says that Saints might try and sign him in the summer. Firstly yes I do realise that this is the sun and they will write any old rubbish, and I'm not really expecting this transfer to happen but does anyone know anything about him? Would he be first keeper? Do you think we need a new keeper? Has kelvin had his days? Again I do realise this is the sun, but I was interested to see if anyone thinks we need a new goalkeeper??

I think we do need to replace Kelv, especially if we go up but surely we could get better than him, plays as backup for peterborough on loan atm i think.

I'd rather have Bart in goal than both of them next year anyway.

Doesn't say much for forecast's chances then does it. It could mean that Barts career is coming to an end of course because of this second injury

It is an interesting question concerning the Goalkeeper situation. I know that some supporters have had enough of Kelvin Davis not always effeciently controlling his area, and that Bartoz Bialkowski has been impressive in the few chances he has had, and I greatly respect him for his patience, as there is no doubt that he is a talented keeper, and I will forever love him for the Norwich penalty shoot-out last season! Like many others, I regarded him as the natural successor to Kelvin, and that change would happen sooner rather than later. However, Kelvin deserves his current place through the points he saves us, which far out-weighs the odd mistakes he makes (i.e. Brentford at home, thankfully the one home game that I have missed all season); look at the penalty save against Brighton, I for one could not have taken another home defeat to them. All the best for the unfortunate Bart to recover, but for now (at least until next year) Davis certainly deserves his place.

We have the best home defence with just 10 goals and 2nd best away defence with 20.
I think Kelvs place is safe judging by them stats, and its a team effort.

I find that Peterborough's home defensive record is the most surprising out of those! Thought it would have been nearer 3.0 per game...It has to be said that we must not be such a good visit for away fans these days, oppostiion teams used to have goal fests at SMS.
