That's just not right, football must be the only career path where you can be sacked for being absolutly ****e at your job, spend millions of pounds failing miserably, then walk into a similar job the next day! McCarthy & Coyle being prime examples and are seriously being quoted as the next Ipswich Manager! It's just stupid!!
No dispute someone will pay that kind of money, still ridiculous though. Look at Jay Rodriguez as a recent example, cost Saints bags of cash and he doesn't seem to up to the job at the higher level (just like many others in years gone by)
perhaps if saints played him in his correct position he might be doing a bit better. zaha has enormous potential, really massive. hopefully he won't go to one of the really top sides as i'd fear that would hamper his development. he should go to a club like wigan or dare i say it norwich. unfortunately, neither club can afford him, hence he'll end up sitting on the bench at spurs or chelsea

Not sure why you're making a big deal out of the fact that they were talking weeks prior to Jewell's departure! I would have been more worried if they hadn't been discussing his future leading up to him leaving!
I lost all respect for Worthington after he kept saying "you've got to be strong like me" in every interview, when he obviously didn't have a ****ing clue what was going on. Being headstrong was all he was being!!!!
