AP tried his best to cut the wage bill after we went down, he understood the grave predicament we were in and the masure that had to be taken to keep our heads above water. We were fully aware of the consequences of relegation when the extent of things were exposed. The financial situation couldn't get any worse when AP arrived. We may have finished 19th, but it's hard to argue that we weren't the worst side in 2009/10. No away wins all season, several heavy defeats and 6 wins all season says it all. 4 points off Man City and draws against Liverpool, Spurs and Chelsea mean nothing when you look at those statistics.
No point beating around the bush. I won't admit to knowing every detail, but it's widely accepted that that is the case of affairs regarding the situation.
I'd better not go into too much detail on here, but the payments for some of the boxes never quite made it to the club. I'm sure it was just an oversight.
Once my parents were visiting me in London and we went in the best stand at Crystal Palace against City. I noticed some of the boxes were empty and we went into one of them. They were incredibly basic and we got thrown out after a while - out of the box, not the ground!
I don’t know what Duffen did what was illegal and I doubt I ever will know. I do know that Bartlett tried to buy Hull City on the cheap by borrowing from the club to pay Adam Pearson. It was difficult for Duffen and Brown to attract good quality players to Hull City given that they were favourites for relegation. If they had insisted on relegation clauses in the contracts it would have been even harder to get anybody to come to the club. After the great start to our Premier league life Brown panicked and tried to defend which was obviously never going to get us anywhere. I do know that selling Michael Turner was a sign that they had accepted relegation. It was obvious that once Turner left there was very little chance of us not getting relegated. I think that Adam Pearson did the right thing to get rid of Brown given his negative tactics, his lack of accepting reality and his falling out with every player in sight. As had been said there were few managers willing to risk their reputations for a couple of months work other than Dowie. Regarding the shirt sponsorship, it is embarrassing and I would have only chosen them if they were paying a lot more than any competitors. I like stripes because of our nickname. I think it’s diluted by the amber on the shoulders though.
Ask him if he ever put the mooring charges for his boat in the sth of France on club expenses. Ask him if Ryan Giggs is his idol?
Ive just had a reponse back from Paul Duffen in which he gave me a long reply with four seperate tweets, which are: "In a private company if the owner director approves the plan and funding requirement it is the Board's job to execute it" "I think you will find it is others who have made passing the buck an Olympic sport. Look at the facts not the allegations" "Spending Club money?!! Joke. It wasn't me who got paid £1 million a year and charged my helicopter expenses to the Club" "Happy to take the credit and the stick for player contracts but 20/20 hindsight is a wonderful gift. You needed to be there" What can I respond with to give him something to think about?
"What's your phone number - I have your children here and they wish to say goodbye" That should work. You're welcome.
Ask him if he denies personally benefiting from payments made to Reef Securities(before the settlement, not after it).
so by looks of it he wants to take credit for gettin us to the prem but wont take responseability for daft contracts an sellin players on the cheap an general financial mismanagement....hmmm this man's right up there with peter ridsdale
