Sunderland will attempt to lure Paul Clement away from Real Madrid this summer to replace Gus Poyet.

Just seen this on the sky Sunday paper talk section!

It's a bit random like there's also a bit saying gus could take over at west ham..

Hope it's all bollocks as I like gus and want him to do well here.

But anyone know much about Clements? I know he's been coaching for a while and worked at Chelsea!

I'd love us to go for an established manager. Not an up and coming or unproven manager. Our last five managers have been Poyet, PDC, MON, Bruce and Keane.

Up and coming, up and coming, dinosaur, established as ****e and up and coming.

Aye know what your saying but I still want gus, he can take us forward imo changing managers every year is what's been ****ing us up for years!

If we do get rid would want a really top manager if possible..

I agree completely mate, I think we've changed managers but never really improved managers. There's better out there, why haven't we looked to the continent?

Hiring English or English based managers for the sake of it and not off merit isn't working.

Of our last five only MON was a good appointment. Unfortunately for us it was a few years too late and he'd lost what made him a decent manager.
