We are only doing what every club should be doing. Using the players we have to play a game if at all possible. Many others could gave done just the same.
lets hope we get through the early morning testing unscathed, but I agree that a 'backs to the wall' siege mentality can be a massive plus. HAWAY THE RORKE'S DRIFT LADS!!
Don't think they do matchday testing anymore. Game should be good to go after today's results I think. Edit: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.bbc.com/sport/football/59830127.amp
Maybe the club has applied to postpone the game but the efl said no? Maybe the club have applied to postpone it but the efl have said no. Just wondering…
These clubs should've been investigated imo. It's almost like they've had some injuries, mix a couple of COVID cases in there, phoned the EFL and said we've got COVID at the club can we cancel? And they've said yeah no bother. That's not on that.
Not sure how it helps reduce the spread but good news for fans I suppose. It was crazy canceling games an hour before KO when thousands had already travelled.
It looks as if they are saying if you’ve got enough players fit the day before the match: you play, regardless. This to save supporters having a futile journey. Seems like a bit of hand-washing to me.
I had to email my sons school a copy of the email confirming positive PCR. I would have thought the EFL would require at least the same?
I didn't see it myself, but I had talksport on in the car the other day, and apparently a few weeks ago, Crystal Palace had asked for a game to be postponed because they didn't have enough cover, Prem knocked it back, the next day there was only 2 changes to their regular starting 11. Stinks that.
the Boro were done well and truly in 1997 they had injuries galore, this is scandalous what is going on, covid is not injuries it is the players fault for getting it like V D, crabs, aids etc it is NOT related to football and these teams should lose points who cause it, christ all they have to to is stop in then play football matches this is not the dark ages maybe they need locking up in a hotel or something, they are getting paid very nicely for it.
Stuff the hotel, I reckon we stop them all breathing until match day. That way they have no chance of inhaling any particles that may be in the air. The thing is spreading rapidly again but for some reason players should be able to avoid it cause they are well paid?
