We need a major signing in centre midfield, a Fellaini type (obviously he's way out of our league).

We need a physical game by the balls midfielder, I fully concur that Gardner will give better balance and shape in there, but he doesn't drive games.

We're worryingly **** in midfield, the area that on paper looks the strong point, plenty of ability there, but no guts, bar Catts.

Over the top to say we're gonna **** you in the derby, for 2 reasons:

    1) We are also ****ing ****e. One fantastic performance in the europa cup has been our lot so far this season, apart from that we've done what you've done, ground out results.

    2) All form goes out the window for the derby anyway.

Limited pot? You spent 25 million on 2 players, two very good players but to say his funds were limited is well wide of the mark.

We have invested in two players costing upwards of £25m (eventually) but we certainly havent broken the bank. Our other 3 signings were freebies and loans, with McFadden being the latest by the looks of it.

We ARE operating on a budget but that said, we should be looking better than we are and we certainly should be working harder than we are currently.

Cest agree with most of what you said.
But disagree about Sess, he was one of the very few on the pitch looked up for it.
I was surprised he was took off TBH.
He was getting no support from any other player.
Too many players passing the ball then standing still as if to say I have done my bit, now you do yours.
No passing and making themselves available.
Which Sess was doing, but wasn't getting returned the ball.

    Colback and Larsson were dire.
McClean has the excuse of being young and inexperienced.
Larsson doesn't, I mentioned the other day about him doing a Whitehead, Ignoring the ball and pointing for someone else to go get it. He is to slow and ponderous to play in that position in MF.

I honestly can't wait till we have Cattermole and Gardner as our main men in MF.
Gardner wouldn't have just watched as players strolled past him with the ball as was happening yesterday.

Just a quick point about Colback, which also surprised me. He made the most amount of tackles yesterday out of all the premier league.
