I think in my lifetime there has been only two of our "strikers" who were leading scorers for the top div, SKP and a big basher called Dickie Davis who we bought from Brum in the early '50s. In the fifties though 30 goals a season was the target for centre forwards and very often this was achieved. If one went two or more games without scoring it was called a drought.
