Anyone know the best place to park for free? I'm taking my six year old to his first match v the Shrews so i dont want a long walk. Not expecting a big crowd so i'll just use the official parks if i have to. The wife normally drops me off on route to the white rose centre.

Cheers bucks, i've passed it on the way to meet the wife but didn't even notice the car park. I might have a run through during the week for a recce.

Do it mate, they have a car park out the back but it probably makes sense to have a plan b anyway <ok>

I have parked there many times, it is a good place to park, the parking area runs all round the back from one side to the other <ok> One tip though, if you get there early ensure you park in a place that you can't possibly be parked in. Happened to me once and I was sat there waiting for 45 minutes which I wasn't happy about.

Might still be able to park on Lowfields Road can anyone confirm?

Quick google maps search and its about a 7 minute walk.

ristac <ok> Lowfields Rd looks promising as well if i get there early. cheers guys.
LS11 8AX pop that postcode into Google map then select street view, scroll right and down the road. Go over the traffic lights and onto the 6110 and a couple more zoom forwards and you can clearly get a look at the car park <ok>

Sorry mate, don't drive so can't give you an answer. Drysalters looks a good bet though. Used to park by the side of the West Stand when I went with my dad as a young 'un about a decade ago, but it was always expensive.

If you're from York, might as well just take the train really? Have a couple of cans on the way down, take the same amount of time and introduce your lad to the magic of rail transport on the way to the footie.
