No sign of Kasey Palmer anywhere near the Chelsea first team even for the League Cup yet. Another example of easy it can be for the super-rich clubs to hoover up young players from clubs without the financial muscle. It's especially easy when the parents have stars in their eyes. Thank goodness the club has got Gomez and Edwardes on 3-year contacts.
JUst like Parker, he played a blinder against them (in the Youth Cup) so they picked him off. They can afford to nick lots of these youngsters in case one of them makes it. Surely Gomez must have been tapped up at some point, with all his experience with the England team, and Edwards was allegedly approached by one of the Manchester giants, and both of them have signed 3-year contracts, so maybe the tide is turning, and to be fair to Roland he deserves credit for leaving a way open by not signing too many experienced players as has happened in the past. When Bob says that he has young players on the bench it might be seen as a declaration of weakness in the squad, but it also gives encouragement to the kids and shows them they will get an opportunity to play first-team football at Charlton.
Kasey Palmer is alive and well. He scored a hat-trick for Chelsea against Liverpool in some competition I have never heard of: http://weaintgotnohistory.sbnation....ational-cup-chelsea-liverpool-u21-final-score
