Its noticeable that France is being targeted most often. Its either a weakness in their security and counterintelligence services or a larger disaffected Muslim population than say Germany which is just as vunerable geographically. I would suspect the latter is the most important factor. Unfortunately all major European cities are targets so trying to factor in risk when sorting your holiday plans is probably going to limit you to camping holidays in Scotland.

 

I'm heading off to the US and Italy next year. Could happen there.

This sort of thing can happen anywhere so IMO as you cant anticipate it its not worth worrying about - while the States is a prime target I think their level of security and intelligence gathering is so way ahead of other countries that it is probably relatively safe.

Everyone hates the English because we ruled the earth for a massive amount of time and they only look at the wrongs and never the good or the outstanding contribution we've made.

 

Yeh we may have done some shxtty things but at least we left some good railways. Now the Spanish and the Dutch - they were a completely different breed of colonisers. Most of the countries they pillaged are only just starting to escape from their influence. Problem is that throughout history the major powers have gone into foreign countries to get something they want be it gold, nutmeg, tea or oil or more recently to ensure their own security. They always suffered a backlash from a section of the populace. Its just that up until the last 50years it was mostly contained within that countries borders. Now the era of globalisation is upon us terrorism has also become global. Its become very easy to hit targets anywhere round the world - it helps that there are probably people with sympathies with any terrorist regime living in most countries around the world. Those saying stop immigration are wasting their breath - it aint gonna happen and it cant. You cant have globalisation without people moving too. Secret is ensuring that indoctrination of these people and their children doesnt happen in their host country. Thats where we are failing at the moment and why France has such a big problem.

 

The Charlie Hebdo attack was done by two brothers born in France to Algerian immigrants.

 

I am not just talking about Jihad inregard to fighting but cultural jihad. Mass immigration from Muslim countries plus their familes plus the amount of children they will have will see societies being rapidly changed and not for the better.

Thanks, oversight on my part, no idea why i thought they were Chechen's. But that info highlights the situation even more in that it is France's own urban terrorist's causing the mayhem. So when the French Premier declares war, who exactly is he going to fight?...The North African's, his own National's, British born terrorist's, Chechen's, he's not clear how he aims to fight this war?
