This is from another poster I thought it was quite good and if generally the big arguments between religious people and non-religious people. In a mother’s womb were two babies. One asked the other: “Do you believe in life after delivery?” The other replied, “Why, of course. There has to be something after delivery. Maybe we are here to prepare ourselves for what we will be later.” “Nonsense” said the first. “There is no life after delivery. What kind of life would that be?” The second said, “I don’t know, but there will be more light than here. Maybe we will walk with our legs and eat from our mouths. Maybe we will have other senses that we can’t understand now.” The first replied, “That is absurd. Walking is impossible. And eating with our mouths? Ridiculous! The umbilical cord supplies nutrition and everything we need. But the umbilical cord is so short. Life after delivery is to be logically excluded.” The second insisted, “Well I think there is something and maybe it’s different than it is here. Maybe we won’t need this physical cord anymore.” The first replied, “Nonsense. And moreover if there is life, then why has no one has ever come back from there? Delivery is the end of life, and in the after-delivery there is nothing but darkness and silence and oblivion. It takes us nowhere.” “Well, I don’t know,” said the second, “but certainly we will meet Mother and she will take care of us.” The first replied “Mother? You actually believe in Mother? That’s laughable. If Mother exists then where is She now?” The second said, “She is all around us. We are surrounded by her. We are of Her. It is in Her that we live. Without Her this world would not and could not exist.” Said the first: “Well I don’t see Her, so it is only logical that She doesn’t exist.” To which the second replied, “Sometimes, when you’re in silence and you focus and you really listen, you can perceive Her presence, and you can hear Her loving voice, calling down from above.”
The guidance is there bro, its up to the people to take it or not, no one can spoon feed anyone.....have you look for the truth yourself or you expect someone to bring it to you.....
Cool story bro. Only problem is the womb is connected to the mother and actually exists.....religion exists only in the minds of those who choose to be indoctrinated by it's scriptures.
So many confusions The Jews beleive that the Messaih has not come. Christians and Muslims beleive that Messaih had came. They all believe that they are right. This is yes or no answer, somebody is wrong.
When it come to religion there are no points to made only polar opposite opinions, you wont change the mind of someone who is closed to the very idea of God. If people decide to follow a religion and take the core value from it of love and respect then this can oly be a good thing as that individual will be a better person for it. We should respect those individuals even though we may disagree with the actual existence of the God they worship as those people tend to be selfless and the very best of us whether they be Christian or Muslim or anything else. This is not to say that someone who has no belief at all cannot be a good person just that whatever gets you to a place where you put others before yourself is a good thing.
We should respect their right to do as they choose when it comes to their belief system, but we have no such compulsion to respect the actual religion that they choose to follow. As they have the right to follow it, we have the right to pass our opinion in it's content
Paris survivor saved by his phone, totally dodgy survivor, totally bullshit story and the phone and his "wound" are Plus he ****s it up, says to CNN "I got up and that's when you saw me, you were there". Almost as bad as the CNN Ebola interview and awful acting where you see the guy walking away with a bunch of dollars in his hand The media loves it's fake witnesses. Just the witness and CNN I am calling bullshitters, nothing else. From CNN Youtube channel
Of course as that freedom is essential, I'm making more of a general response to the negativity that seems to be being applied to everyone who dares believe in any religion during this thread. Some have made points and discussed, others have been disrespectul to the whole concept that someone may want to believe.
I checked under the fridge but no joy Seriously though, I'm not religious but am happy for people to believe what they want to believe - there are no rights or wrongs until we die and see is there. BUT what exactly have you found in your search?
That bloke was on Sky news the day after the attack. Only he knows whether he was bullshitting or not.
But that's their right mate. we should respect the individuals right to follow their creed of choice, but atheists have just as much right to call bullshit on the entire spectrum of religion. People take the criticism of their religion personally, when it's not an attack on them, merely their belief system.
A more apt analogy would be one twin blowing up both of them in the womb because the other wouldn't go along with his/her version of life after the womb.
