Pards- Time for a change

HBA doesnt look match sharp to me but Best has been poor last two games, so not too bothered either way. Play them both against Blackburn and whoever is better can play v Stoke.

Marveaux for Obertan.

Defence has done little wrong, play Santon v Blackburn and if he is seriously good then bring him in for Simpson/Raylor.

 

I dont know whether its Pardew being scared of making changes for the fan backlash (doubtfull) or whether he's just afraid of knocking Obertan's 'fragile' confidence/adding to the Simpson rumours, but it needs to be done.

Raylor has been better than Simpson. If you have to change the defence i think its worth putting Santon on for Simpson, keep Raylor at left back or right back, it doesnt really matter...

HBA doesnt look fully with it yet and up to speed but he's still opening the play up more and creating space, so id say he's worth a start with Ba ahead of him. Ba needs to change his game when he's playing with HBA though, with Best he drops back to link up play. Pointless doing that when youve got someone to do that as their main job...

Marveaux for Obertan is the change everyone wanst though. Obertans looked poor lately, yet Marveaux has looked decent whenever hes been on. Obertan just sat on the halfway line the entire first half against Wigan and never made runs whenever Simpson had possesion, id HATE that if i was the full back.

 

This except for Raylor. He has nearly cost us a few goals if it wasn't for Colo, Krul and Saylor. Not a part of the pitch you can afford to get caught in the wrong position or loose the ball.

 

Against Blackburn I think we will play:

Elliot

Santon - Perch - Coloccini - Ferguson

Guthrie - Abeid - Gosling

Marveaux - Lovenkrands - Ben Arfa

Against Stoke I think we will play:

Krul

Simpson - Taylor - Coloccini - Taylor

Marveaux - Tiote - Cabaye - Jonas

Looks like we're giving some priority to the cup then! As anticipated! I want us to give it a proper go, best chance of winning something and getting into Europe!

tbh if obertan starts vs bburn could be an indication he's guna get dropped for marv equally if santon starts with raylor on the left could be the same for simmo but thats a massive assumption

 

But, if Marveaux doesn't play against Blackburn, he will be thinking why the **** am I not playing lol

 

If we start Marv v Blackburn what if it goes to extra time again? Not sure he'll be up to playing Stoke.
