I loved how unstable he was/is, particularly at NUFC. Always seemed an inch from flipping (the Meyler incident for instance, or headlocking Steve Stone and throwing him to the ground ) - he'd love it here.
Couple of things about Allardyce. Firstly, not only would he not come here for the reasons others have said, but the lack of funding would mean that even if he was prepared to come here he wouldn't do anything. It's accepted that his January business kept Sunderland up last year, but he wouldn't be doing that here which is why he won't come and it wouldn't work if he did anyway. Secondly, has he actually been shown to have done anything corrupt? The whole England situation was confusing, but as far as I could tell he didn't do an awful lot wrong other than the unacceptable criticism/mockery of various people.
When Pardew's team wins, the success is a reflection of his managerial genius. When they lose, the players need to take a long hard look at themselves.
I didnt realise that. Im surprised he is allowed back in the FA working for Palace.. thought he would be banned.
Plus his gambling debts were paid off, allegedly, and new curtains paid for where he wiped his knob on the way out of WAGS boudoirs.
I think you forget the highly paid position he held and was entrusted with; astonishing you know what was in those exposure clips and still hold your opinion. Integrity, loyalty, trust, are all words he failed to embrace and you seem to discount.
Despised by many,an outspoken greedy prat with a tendency to bend the truth? There is an argument Allardyce would fit right in here at the moment.
Did he actually though? And what does 'getting around rules' actually mean in this instance? Does it mean he did something perfectly legal and moral or that he actually did something wrong?
I completely agree about that. I just wondered if there was anything more concrete about him being described as corrupt. He's definitely a bit of a dick.
Let's just take a second to consider this interview with Pardew from a mere 2 months ago.............. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2016/oct/21/alan-pardew-england-crystal-palace
I love your principals, but integrity, loyalty and trust just don't exist in football these days. I believe in doing business the right way, however, what Sam did is no doubt what a lot of managers do (talk a big game) they just don't get caught. Big clubs in football have being doing dodgy stuff for a long time, I don't think Big Sam really did anything that wrong. If they appoint Big Sam he will keep them up and take them to the next level if given time and money.
He's been available all season and we've missed out. Pardew is a total knob, but he has an impact on teams when he comes in, give him a contract till July.
Pardew is the biggest **** in the league. I'd rather get relegated than stay up with that southern fairy CSM in charge.
I really don't want to go down. Not because of the opposition or being in the Premier League, but if we do, I think we'd plummet and not recover. Very minimum investment, youth prospects and good players sold and **** all to celebrate. At least in the PL we get a **** tonne of cash.
