Took on a hopeless cause to be fair. Like Rafa when we went down. Neither out of it, but the course irreversible.
A hopeless cause whereby they were out of the relegation zone and 2 points from being a point per game. Now they're rock bottom and 10 points from being at a point per game. Rafa came in far later and gained over a point per game, Pardew has got... 0.56 points per game. That's utterly catastrophic. So not really the same no. Nice try though.
I think we were one point from safety with a game in hand though? Essentially other teams down there, got more out of the games available. Nice try though.
So the amount of time you have as a manager is irrelevant, and the amount of points you get per game is irrelevant? You need your wumming to be less moronic for people to listen.
No of course it’s relevant, particularly if the gap to safety is significant. In Rafas case it wasn’t. I felt he was unlucky as he did a solid job. Unfortunately other managers did a better job, it happens. Both managers entered clubs in freefall, it’s difficult to arrest. It’s a bit of a lottery. When we went down the season we sacked Sam Allardyce - people say we wouldn’t have gone down. I think that is balls. He had us on a horrible downturn and the atmosphere was against us. I think West Ham have itbin a different way currently. Football is funny. Many clubs in West Brom’s situ when he took over go down. Some stay up by changing. It’s how people like Pulis and Allardyce have carved a career. Change doesn’t necessarily mean it will happen for you though. What should always be remembered is why the club directors made a change in the first place!
Fair enough, point well made. Though if I recall correctly when we asked Allardyce we stayed up with Keagan and it was the following year we went down after JFK had begun shot.
Quite possibly I try to erase Allardyces time here from memory. It’s quite simple Pardew is carrying the can for someone else work. A team built by someone else. That’s the risk you take when you take on those jobs. He hasn’t improved things.
He has the dreaded talk with management today according to The Guardian (via BBC) West Brom boss Alan Pardew will have talks with the club's owners on Monday to determine whether he will remain in charge. (Guardian) https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...eting-west-brom-board-job-bromwich-albion-wba Suspect he could be looking for a job on Tuesday - it's amazingly risky to sack a manager with only 9 games left but there is little to lose now. While we left it too late to appoint Benitez in our last relegation year at least he was able to start the work that got us storming The Championship the following season. Suspect WBA may be looking at in the same way.
I don't condone shooting anyone but all the same I would shoot - albeit reluctantly - that JFK. But I still hurt the way our former but currently Brighton manager was treated.
. Just the name brethren . But the ("squintie"- if that is English) has nothing to do with what I believe
