get real, understand that we will have to sell players but be assured that we will get good players in, id rather have Tiote for 3.3m than have Essian for 33m wouldnt you? it makes sence, we will get good player for small amounts or on free's, and maybe once or twice we will spend 12/14m on a player, but only if they're worth it.
as for Pardew he's a smart guy, he knows what he's talking about, he knows ashley will sell players now that Carroll has gone so he's come out and said we might not keep hold of our best player, he would be stupid to create a Carroll mark 2 situation.
