    Because I don't believe this **** about us spending loads of money. Genuinely, they're an improvement on what we have.

    If it turns out we go throwing money at the world's best talent, I'll be over the moon, but I'd be content with us getting cheap players to bolster our squad, if only so Shola never plays again (I'm sure you can sympathise). My suggestions are by no means dream scenarios, though I think your assessment of Matt Smith is unfair, you need to read the lad's bio. He's a supreme athlete.

    Indeed, the point I was making is that we are indeed £38m in profit. If you figure in the Carroll sale (£35m) it shows that Ashley likes to break even on transfer fees so there is simply NO WAY that Ashley will blow an amount like that without selling players first! <ok>

    JPF, I am shaking my head in disbelief that you have mentioned the fat, barrel arsed Ebanks Blake, quite correctly referred to by BRS, in the same breath as The Shola. <doh>
    He is the pits of the earth, absolute garbage. If he turned up, even I would have to think about not going.

    In case you're not certain, I don't like him and I would personally seek out Shola to the end of the earth to get him to sign a new contract rather than have Ebanks Blake.
    There must be better players amongst footballs 'down and outs' we can sign then him.

    Thankfully, neither will be here in August. <phew>
