Personally, I can't see us getting another point.

It's either, Wigan and Aston Villa bottle it, or we're relegated. Villa and Wigan are atleast at the moment fulfilling there end of the deal. Which atleast allows, us to believe we're not going down, but for sure Wigan will win another game, and I can see Villa doing the same.

If anything we need 3 points, I don't see this "NO NO ITS 40 OR NOTHING" **** the pundits throw around. After the game, they where literally saying "No, Newcastle NEED 4 points, or it just wont happen" No one win, and we're safe. And we have two winnable games next. Saying that, like I said before we are not going to get them, unfortunatly we're the worst team in the league at the moment.

There is no point sacking him now.

Hard to disagree with this like, it's going to be a long couple of weeks for Newcastle, and also for us too, we're not out of the woods yet, I do think 40 points is needed, although in sunderland's case 39 with our goal difference

I will eat my left bollock if they have sacked him. Its not going to happen until the end of the season at least sadly

we wouldn't get him until end of season though. So if Pards has been sacked, either today or tomorrow, then we need an interim team and personally am not sure that Carver is that man.

Pardew isn't going to get sacked now. After the Arsenal game he will be.

Oh dear, ACS. I seem to remember Pardew raising this one shortly after the derby. Didn't work out so well since...

Aye he could, but usually it goes to the assistant manager if it's internal.

True, but the way Pardew talks about Carver he clearly has a big input in style of play, tactics etc...I reckon when (not if) Pardew goes then Carver will too because if he was made interim boss then nothing would change, the players would still be hearing the same voices etc and it wouldn't do anything extra to inspire the team.

For me I'd love our new manager next year to be Poyet and for him to bring his own coaching team, a young up and coming coaching team with enthusiasm rather than the old school team talks/tactics that Pardew and Carver must be dishing out week after week.

Think Graham Carr for the last few weeks wouldn't be a bad idea, been in the game for such a long time would surely have experience on his side. An I hope this rumour is true but sadly feel it is just wishful thinking. I am however keeping my eyes peeled to any sources out there in the hope we see sense and get rid instead of waiting till the 19th May for the inevitable if we stick with how things are currently.

Oh for sure, Poyet would be a great choice. Would still love us to get Martinez (despite his and Wigan's recent issues) over anyone else. Think he would do an amazing job here!

Either one of them would be great appointments, can't see Dave Whelan letting Ashley poach Martinez though given the fact that they hate each other!

I've never wanted a manager out of our club so bad, not even Allardyce purely because although the style of football was awful (it's actually no different from what we've been served up this season) he would never have taken us down.

I actually don't see us stayng up, before Liverpool we needed 3 points to stay up, now we need 4 in my opinion because our goal difference is the same as Wigan's now.

I think Di Matteo or Poyet are the men needed... The Italian is still out of work for some reason!

    Pardew looks finished to me...

After the 0-3 vs Sunderland, we simply had to have a positive reaction in our next home game - getting raped 0-6 by Liverpool is absolutely unacceptable.

I was ready to give him another season if we stayed up, no longer.

    Pardew OUT. <ok>
