Sad but its the norm in the sport now ,the man secured his ultimate appointment yet even then the temptation to divulge and talk openly about corruption and money involved and how to evade certain protocols and rules,he had to go no doubt about it,i would imagine the bowel movements of the yes men employed at the FA feared the lid could be blown on the rot within the higher echelons. I was sad he left the club even sadder when only weeks into his dream job he was exposed,would/could /should SAFC remploy him ,not imo,has there been any fallout from this thus far ................of course not, too many names and clubs involved, lift the carpet and get the brush again . Most disturbing is the ability to turn a blind eye to the constant demise of the game .
I don`t bear Sam any ill will. imo he left the club in a better state than he found it which is more than can be said for the others over the last 5 years. He might have bollixed up the England job but that`s nothing to do with us. Now he`s just the manager of one of the teams we have to play. No more than that really.
Can we not just ignore posts of this nature, trading insults is his game, football and camaraderie is ours. We are Sunderland, Haway the Lads.
Palace are top scorers outside the top 4. If Allardyce plugs some leaks in that back four there's no reason that they can't be looking at top half this season. I think he will want Kone but with ACON coming up and Kone's team will be a big favourite to win it, perhaps he will shop elsewhere and come back for Kone in the summer.
I'll be applauding Allardyce the next time I'm at the match against his team. I really like the bloke.
