On a different note for someone that's apparantly so negative I've gone for Newcastle 3 - 2 win tomorrow.

 

We sell 1 player for silly money who wanted to leave, 1 player who wanted to leave and wasn't going to resign, and gave away 2 players who were on the decline, wanted to leave, and likely wouldn't be in our starting XI anyway, and based on that we're going to sell off all our good starting players?

I agree, if anyone were to offer Carroll-like silly money for anyone, of course the club would consider it. But I think a common argument a lot of us have had is that we don't think clubs will be offering silly money for anyone in January - nor do I think anyone will submit a transfer request as he did.

 

It would be nice though.

MrTiote, just to be clear, what actual points are you making? All I've seen is you just stating the obvious, that we could possibly sell some players. Need to know whether you've got any right to be cocky or not come Feb 1st.

I believe you're claiming "We could sell some players, and some players might not come in"? Well no **** sherlock.

 

I'm suggesting that It's highly likly we lose 2 forst team players this window. Tiote and Simpson.

 

Even then, we rejected bids of 20 and 30 million for Carroll.

I'd add that personally I think every player has a price at which it now makes sense to sell. Whether that price will be reached on any of our better players this window I can't be certain but I think not ... this time.

What annoys about mrtiote is that he takes this same concern, which we all have, makes a personal guess, states it as an absolute proclaimation and then suggests that he is the only person capable of reaching this feat of divination.

Come on mrtiote impress us. Tell us something that we couldn't possible guess for ourselves and give enough detail to put your powers beyond question.

Failing that shut the **** up about your mystical powers as an augur!

And reportedly there was another 5 mil on top of the 35 mil after a certain amount of appearances. Speculation though with that I think.

Except even the papers have hushed up about Tiote and Simmo isn't out of contract for another year and a half.
