Just think it's something that the FA would do. Appoint him, he'd be another McClaren.

Don't get why everyone wants an English manager to be honest because it went so brilliantly last time.

FA needs to open their eyes and at least be open to the fact they may have to choose a foreign manager, the only realistic English managers to take over are Harry 'wheeler dealer' Redknapp, Hodgson and maybe Pardew.

Capello and Eriksson have hardly set the world alight though have they? And there were only two mistakes that Mclaren made: not appointing a clear no.1 and persisting with Owen and Rooney up front. He proved at Twente that he is a good manager at the very least, the jobs at Wolfsburg and Forest he was burdened by overexpectation.

Not the point. A manager should be chosen on the basis that he will do a good job, his nationality shouldn't really come into it at all imo. Just because Eriksson and Cappello didn't do brilliantly doesn't mean all foreign managers won't. It's completely backwards we had had 100years of English managers before Eriksson and we have won one world cup, which for a country with a population our size and a love of the game like we do is frankly pretty pathetic.
