Nah - no complaints about marginal decisions costing them the game again so cant be him. Will never forget him arguing that a bad decision against them at 2-0 down vs Southampton robbed them of the game. They ended up losing 8-0!
To be fair RAW is hilarious because he is your archetypical Sunderland supporter and reminds me of so many of my mates that are Sunderland supporters. The worlds against them, they get the rough end of decisions from the ref every week, there is conspiracy against the club. This also seeps out into their general views about Sunderland is so run down as a city, getting such a tough break on money coming into the region, so and so forth. Its great really because it makes you feel much happier with your lot.
He was the saltiest bitch ever on the day of the beautiful 5-1, and that's pretty much all i remember him for
Wumming is about a balance, you have to try and make people think you're being genuine. Dust yourself down and try again.
Supporting the side is about being honest with yourself about your team and managers capabilities, but also getting behind the team in even difficult times. I think some on here struggle with the concept of what support is. They expect. They expect Michael to dip into his own pocket, they expect him to spend money the club has yet to earn, they expect Bobby to keep us in the top 4 all season. Any deference and they hoy the toys out and start making things up. I'm all about balance. Balancing out the bollocks on here is kinda my job.
Well thank god that you have now defined for us all exactly what we must do to support our team. I will now have to sit down and think whether I can live up to these criteria or give up with football. And I apologise for always predicting a win for Newcastle in the Prediction League. I now realise that I have not been honest with myself about my team and manager’s ability. I presume I will now be disqualified.
It sounds to me like you want us to raise The Shield of Apathy. I thought that was the definition of Sunderland supporters. Is there something you are not telling us?
This is the core element of a Wummer. Another skill is to solicit endless beel with the minimum amount of words. My personal record was a fullstop over on the Mackem board. I think it generated another of my dedicated 'love in' threads which ended up akin to the blue oyster bar out of police academy. please log in to view this image
Haha you couldn't make it up! The 4 players stole a taxi and the managment staff were so drunk Pards lost his wallet and phone
He was the victim of a theft while out for a meal with his staff. 4 players steal a taxi after breaking curfew. Pardew is the manager and fine one. Never relegated despite having the least financial support of any Newcastle manager under Ashley. He deserves better. That said they will probably run through a brick wall for him now, it’ll galvanise the squad and they’ll stay up in a miraculous piece of management. Typical Pardew.
In defence of the players, they have probably spent the last couple of months hearing people shout 'Taxi for Pardew' and in their drunken state thought they were helping their manager out.
It's who the players are as much as anything. Evans and Barry are pretty exemplary professionals so if they are doing whatever they like without any worries about the manager it really doesn't speak well about Pardew. The true mark of the man is what happens next, if they're back in the team for the next game or two then there's no real punishment for players ignoring him.
Whilst we don't know players first hand, Barry has always struck me as the most vanilla kind of person I've ever seen. If anything it is a testament to 'King Pards' that he has driven the man with the most PL appearances to drinking to forget who he is and breaking curfews like a teenage girl. Benitez keeps his players at home, this idiot books a lad's holiday. Oh, and anyone who doesn't think he really had his wallet stolen by a prossie is chatting pure ****e!
