If the F.A ran its organisation with the same discipline as they use in Rugby Union, the gambling obnoxious twat would have a three year ban from the game right now.

He apologised straight away and to anyone who would listen - he was clearly embarrassed by his actions and went to the stand without argument, he expected the charge and then accepted the charge with dignity - he got a two match ban because of this, not inspite of this.

If he had not gone humbly to the stand, not apologised profusely and not accepted the charge then he would have desrved a harsher sentence - there has to be an incentive to face up to your mistakes as Pardew did, rather than dispute it at every turn.
