Does this ring any bells? " A fist of automatic promotion, get a brain you dumb ****. Do you wear a cloth cap? What a first class pair of tosses you and that other dumb **** ****tyArsehole make."?
Leo Schultz? Leo Schultz????? His wife was main shareholder in D J Broady Demolition! Poulson never got a look in, in Hull - it was all 'sorted' by characters such as 'Sir' Leo, Alex Clarke and the old (Labour) mafia
Lyon are moving out of Stade de gerland (a council owned community stadium which they rent) and into an out of town 60k one built for the Euros 2016.. nobody likes the idea - most people currently walk or take the metro.. there will be an traffic problem - same at Melton. Don't agree with it for Lyon don't either for City.
Boothferry 2 Wembley: You mentioned the Blackpool model, but look where they are now. Their manager who masterminded it all has left for another small club and they're nowhere near a return to the PL. The closest example to another club who did this is Burnley. And how are they doing? As you obviously already understand, it's possible to spend less and live within your means but it's very difficult to bring in the players to be competitive, otherwise we could just come down again and be worse off than when we went up, like Blackpool or Burnley. We really just don't have the money coming in that other clubs do so we won't be able to compete on the pitch. It isn't as simple as just saying "We're going to live within our means and still have good players." Just as a general point aimed at no one in particular. I think we all agree that an out-of-town stadium is far from ideal and the KC is really the perfect site. Assem is only talking about doing this because he has no hope of getting the KC. His choices are to build a new stadium (there aren't many suitable sites within the City boundary, so you can see why he's looking at Melton) or to stay at the KC with hardly any money coming in and be pretty much doomed to be an average-sized lower league club for the forseeable future.
IMO, the level of January investment by the Allams to improve the squad for the promotion drive will surprise many on here..!!!
