I'll believe it once it's announced on the Fulham website. Although it is now being reported on the UK editions of ESPN and Goal, which certainly lends it more credence.
Keiran Richardson and Matt Phillips Well we mew about Richardson but we're now also being linked to Phillips of Blackpoool - http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/aug/29/fulham-moussa-dembele-tottenham?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter
This was discussed earlier in the window. The view from a friendly Liverpool fan was that Adams was great if someone did his defending for him, but tended to lose possession by spraying Hollywood passes around. I used to be a big fan of the idea, but the more I heard from the Liverpool fan, the more reservations I had.
Yes, I'd take Adam for the Murphy position, but from what I've read he's not interested in moving south. I guess he was being floated as make-weight in some kind of swap for Dempsey, but Adam pulled the brake lever on that deal.
No I wouldn't take Adam, he has shown at both Rangers and Blackpool that he is disruptive when it comes to team tactics. He thinks he knows best. I've spoken with a few Liverpool supporters online, and they are desperate to move him on, they try and tell you he's like Murphy, but they agree with me about his tactical sense causing problems. Rumor I heard that when he was part of a swap deal plus cash for Dempsey, that the contract he wanted was that he would remain Fulham's top earner for the duration of his contract. That was the reason the transfer fell through, when Liverpool couldn't afford the cash only option till they sold players.
Got it in a tee SuperBri. We've all seen the other options we have (Phillips, Davis) and they are much preferable. Apart from the negatives Captain and the guy from L'pool mention, I'd add his lifestyle and fitness.
I think Tevez and Ribery are fighting it out for ugliest footballer. Peter Crouch should be nicknamed E.T. by his teammates.
Miralem Sulejman We're reported as trying to gazump West Ham for the young (ish) attacking midfielder from Ajax (valued about £6m) - http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2896/premier-league/2012/08/30/3341221/west-ham-close-in-on-sulejmani-despite-late-fulham-interest He could be the guy Jol was hinting at in his press interview today.
Ignoring the deliberate mistake there of missing the millions, that would seem a very good price for Dejagah. He looked good in the Wolfsburg Bundesliga winning team, but I've not seen much of him since. DR, as our German resident can you comment?
Ha, ha. As surlyc says he would be a good signing - right midfield but more likely right winger; German U21. Unfortunately he got injured at the weekend but it's nothing serious. The bid is indeed £2m and I also forgot to include the source, sorry. http://www.persianfootball.com/live/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=4446:injured-dejagah-keen-on-fulham-move&catid=16:iranian-legionairs&Itemid=177
Apart from trying to find players with the fewest vowels, obscure web sites too! Persian football? Nice one Cottager.
Apparently Dejagah "suffered a torn muscle fibre during a Wednesday afternoon training session". That might explain why he's cheap.
Jol hopes to get "two or three" midfielders in, so if Dkjshdihb is injured it won't be so bad if he's that good and we get others in.
