Twitter talk is Gunnar is next, his days are numbered.

City have held talks with four clubs over Aron Gunnarsson. Again, paving the way for Adeyemi.

Another sell on clause apparently......

It makes a lot of sense for both clubs, basically splitting the risk on both sides.

Looks like no new central defenders in time for friday.

Gestade & Rhodes will have a field day.

City may as well go for an attacking formation and try to repeat their 4-1 win 2 years ago. To try and defend would be pointless given Connelly & Hudson look set to be our CB's <yikes>

No need - if Huds is still suffering from that muscle strain, I think Ole might chance KTC for a start alongside Connelly. I also wouldn't rule out Oshilaja getting a chance off the bench at least.

Either way we will get a kicking with those pairings. Connolly came on and did well at Yeovil - but it was Yeovil. He was poor first half v Wolfsburg.

KTC looks more of a liability at cb than at full back and has missed a lot of pre-season due to his family bereavement and absence in France - having returned only this week.

Correct me if I'm wrong but Oshilaja has only played in cup games for City and is not the biggest of cb's.

Hudson was poor first half at Yeovil and should have played v Wolfsburg to get more match fit. It appears he was injured and is still carrying it so is doubtful for Friday.

Rudy will be keen to show we were wrong to sell him and, in light of his form at Blackburn, could well be right.

I fear Friday night will not be the start we want this season.

The biggest problem we have is no other natural left footed centre back, Connolly looked poor due to not be able to kick with his left foot.

We will let in a goal come Friday but we will score a couple more than them and take the 3 points.
