Daily fail says it was a free transfer..

    Daily mirror says £500000

So it could basically be any amount!!

They've got to be making it up. Even the Echo haven't got a clue on the fee at the moment.

I know mate it's crazy isn't it. Sky are normally the first to know these things and they have no idea. Either way he was a free when we got him and we've now cleared a big earner from the squad so it should open a door or two with a bit of luck

I know a fee won't necessarilly be a priority, but I can't see why we can't get one for him - until recently he was our no.1 and a pretty decent keeper.

Pantilimon wasn't a keeper that filled me with great confidence, he was average at best. Now with Pickford we have a rising star and one who could go onto great things, I doubt Pants will be a great miss, but good luck to him, come across like a decent bloke.

He's a decent keeper but not without his problems. Despite his size he was bullied easily and his distribution was pretty bad in all honesty.

I always liked him though and wish him all the best. Not looking forward to him having the best game of his life every time we play Watford.

Last season I thought he was great - a lot better than Mannone and just as good as Mignolet as well. We've had some pretty decent keepers over the years but Pants has been disappointing this year. Still surprised he went before Mannone though. Things are looking up though now and Pickford is real all round quality. Need to keep hold of him until Real Madris come knocking :emoticon-0100-smile

Great keeper, could be a big mistake, Vito is not as good and Pickford is very young and inexperienced. I gamble, I hope it means we bring in some more quality outfield.

Don't know if it's been mentioned yet, but I was talking to a Romanian welder last night here in Rotterdam and he said it was reported in the Romanian news that if pants had played 50 games it would have activated a clause in his contract that would almost double his wages and give him a long term deal....

Not saying it's true but he had no reason to lie and sounds about right and the way we do business..

I cannot believe he has been sold, our best goalkeeper. Also the Ayew deal seems to be off (the echo) so now what ? the mags lashing out like there is no tomorrow and we get a £750,000 defender !, that is Short saying "sorry Sam cannot take the gamble" !. Poor Pickford though having to play behind that defence will be worrying for the lad.
