A bloke I worked with was made redundant at Easter, he hadn't been there that long so got 8 grand. After his leaving drinks we went in the bookies and he did £2,000 in the roulette machine in an hour. I pulled him off (not literally) and we got the train home. I spoke to him the following Tuesday, three days later, and he had put the whole 8 grand in the roulette machine, chasing his losses
