One of Stoke's biggest days was when they beat the Chavs in the 1972 league cup final. I think George Eastham scored the winner and Gordon Banks was the keeper. Oops showing my age
Thanks for your kind comments guys its a little bit refreshing to hear what you are saying as the likes of arsenal fans cannot do with our style of play, but maybe thats because wenger as brainwashed them "over the shawcross tackle" or it could be that everytime they come to the brittania they go home empty handed who knows lol, i will be visiting your fine stadium this season again this season and i hope its a good game and as always will be a cracking atmosphere..
District line grow up, i bet your mummy thinks you are in bed, she really needs to stop going to these working mens clubs leaving you home alone..
I chose not to rise to it. Didn't see the need for such a vile attack like that tbh, absolutely uncalled for. I can perhaps understand your frustration given how active Stoke are in the transfer market compared to Spurs but I don't feel it warrants taking out your frustration on me
Most of the Stoke fans on here are class, plus I have no problem with Stoke, all the best this season, I'm sure you guys will do well
thanks mate i,m getting mixed things on here a little bit confused i only came on here to ask about wp i hope i aint upset anyone if i did i apolagise not meant in any shape or form spurs are a great club with great tradition..
No problem, I'm not a Spurs fan but I'm sure the Spurs fans on here will appreciate your kind words about their club. As an outsider I think you guys can be very excited about this signing, he'll stengthen your midfield even more now. Pennant--------------Palacios----------------Whelan-----------------Etherington Walters is good but if you went back in the market for another striker I could easily see you guys pushing for European spots this year barring no major injuries. I think your defence in terms of depth is probably in the top 6 in the league behind the top 4 and maybe Sunderland. Exciting times for you Potters, I was gutted I couldn't make the Brit this year but hopefully we get you in the cup or something P.S I wouldn't listen to Ensil, even his own fans don't like him, you can judge me as you see fit
district line i was gutted we could not sign your striker cuz he only signed for you last month, two good clubs chelsea and spurs and to be fair when we got promoted it was the most i was looking forward to playing that as not changed, i still cannot believe on the saturday morning when stoke city are playing your fine clubs that we are actually! well playing you guys, two fine fine clubs, and kinds words from both sets of fans... Now both of you do me 1 small favour and take the points of the not so mighty arsenal...
No problem, we've always had great games with Stoke and you are where you belong, your supporters are great and the Brit is widely acknowledged as one of the best grounds in the Prem to go to. I went to Wolves vs Stoke in the FA Cup last year and your fans were great, as I say I would love to go to the Brit soon and hope I can go next season. Don't worry about Arsenal, I can't speak for Spurs but we'll take care of them and should finish above them. Best of luck in Europe as well, you and Fulham have my full support
Otter, DL is very good at speaking with forked tongue. He's a wum on the lookout for a sly dig wherever possible, then hiding behind the "what me?...never!" old chestnut. Read his post properly, trying to say you're better and could finish above us effectively...so transparent! However, like all minor irritations, they go away eventually.
and districtline apparently we are getting bendtner and wright phillps dunno if thats good or bad lol, i think bendtner will be ok for us to be honest
What are you on about? I never said where anybody would finish. I personally think apart from Chelsea, United, Arsenal, Liverpool and City the rest of the league is wide open. The men in the white coats will soon be after you, you're insane.
notsosmart no matter what he says mate i know for a fact we will never finish above you guys in the league, if he is really saying this then he is a very clever wummer lol, i,m sure he is taking the piss by saying we can be top 6 alongside sunderland i mean sunderland lol..
There are quite a few clubs after SWP, I'm surprised City are willing to sell for just £2m, if you guys get him he'll provide healthy competition for Pennant for the right wing spot. Bendtner would be a good acquisition as well, he was brilliant on loan at Birmingham but never really worked out at Arsenal. Your fighting on more than one front now so need the numbers. I think Woodgate is the best signing you'll make all summer, not sure about Upson yet though
I didn't mean you will finish top 6, I just meant in terms of depth in defence you have a lot of quality. Upson (England International) Woodgate (Former England International) Robert Huth (Former Germany International) Danny Collins (Welsh International) I think you are definately in line for a top 10 finish, along with Wolves and maybe Sunderland and Newcastle too
please log in to view this image I have good rep with some Stoke fans on here that know me from the Old 606, I'm sure otters would value their opinion higher than someone as paranoid as yourself
I personally think apart from Chelsea, United, Arsenal, Liverpool and City the rest of the league is wide open. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So innocent aren't you, no mention of the club that lasted longer than you did in last years Champions League!...another sly dig.
I don't think I left out United from that list. It's just my opinion, I believe the big 5 will contest the usual spots and from 6th onwards it's anyones game. Everton look strong this year but Spurs are a quality side that will be hard to beat to that spot but can be beaten, I am not sure if Villa have the squad depth to really push but I think Wolves, Stoke and Newcastle in particular are hugely underrated. If Everton can keep their First XI fit they stand a great chance of getting into Europe, it is more than attainable for them.
Everton will get top half no doubt, but Villa's squad is stretched and I think Lerner is looking to sell, they have some serious high earners at that club and Villa need new investment, they are in a transitional period.
