I didnt say they were worth it I said thats what we had invested or they owed us. I did take note of your point, but if they never play then it defeats the point in having a squad. We also have one of the largest squds of over 21's in the premier league. I agree with you last point 100%.
For the most part it wouldn't matter, as the don't play, but the point I was trying to make, is that while we've landed some good players since being in the PL, but we've also been made to look stupid with ones we haven't pulled off, imagine if we got shot of the likes of Tonge etc, did badly in the transfer window and ended up needing him, Arismendi, Higgy etc, but instead had ONLY our 3 midfield generals in Rory, Whelan and Whitehead, with no replacements for when injured, or the more likely run into the ground or suspended. I'm quite pleased with how things have gone, as long as we can offload now, I think when Coates said we need to "Sell to buy" I think he meant we need to make room in the squad, more than cut the wage bill, which seems to be the case as we've signed, but not sold. We do have a bigger squad than most, but other managers are much more willing to play u-21. Even if Pulis was inclined to do so, I don't know that any of the ones we've got are any good (except Ness). And to sign off, something else I think you"ll agree on. . . Isn't it nice to see a squad list WITHOUT Sidibe and Diao in it?
Massive plus on them not being named, but dont hold your breath, there is always the January Squad selction yet to come.....
