Palacios gets my vote aswell, good player who must feel he has something to prove at this level I would think, Davies also falls into this category which is the type of player we need IMO

Palacios played his best football in an unpretentious Northern town under the guidance of Steve Bruce (ring a bell).
London was probably too much of a distraction for him, and I doubt he enjoyed having the pennies put on his eyes as he entered Stoke.

A downside to signing Palacios is that he is part of a package deal. You also get his mum as a free extra and she thinks she is assistant manager at any club her son plays for. Give it 3 or 4 games before she starts picking the squad
