Don't think anyone did anything particularly wrong today apart from us not burying a goal. End of the season, Howe has to do his studying and figure out proper corner play, or perhaps hire another member of the coaching staff. We pass it out wide a lot, which statistically is the most common way to score so I get why we do it, but we don't get anyone on the end. I want us to sign a midfielder who can pick up the ball and carry it through midfield add another dimension to our game.
There was a situation where a cross came in and the defender just got there before Longstaff and conceded a corner. Result I thought, cos if he'd beaten the defender to the ball it would have been a goal kick, cos he's Shiite!!
