It's from two wins and two defeats. So it's 4 games of mixed results not one win. Learn to read lad. ;)

It was tbh but we have some good attacking players. In spite of McClaren's ineptness we've picked up 10 points and been unlucky in a few games so I think we'll have enough to stay 15th/16th.

There is not much between the teams to be honest, but there is a lot of difference in the two managers and I know which one I prefer, and it is not yours JC.

I'd say the same in your position tbh mate. As QWOP will attest, it's after months and months of Sam that the true test of whether you can take any more really hits. We'll see.

Personally I will put up with this type of football if it keeps us up, but would expect Sam to have the nous to know that progress can only be achieved with better players, and he showed at Bolton that he can add flair to a team. We have a decent attacking option within this system already, so it could go well for us, we will see. I have never wanted to see one North East team dominate the other two, I leave that to the John Halls of this world, and will be over the moon if both clubs stay up and Boro join us next season, no supporters deserve it more. :emoticon-0148-yes:

Have always said I'd rather all the NE clubs were in the top league but if there's one space left to fill in the relegation spots, I'd much rather you than us <laugh>

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt in as much you are a mag and as such hate all things Sunderland, but other than Wijnaldum I seriously wouldn't swap one player for any of ours...at best both squads are rank average, but in Allardyce we have a manager who has made a career of making rank average players good....so after very little thought, give me BSA all day long over the Wally with the Brolly.

Given that we are above you, saying you would only take 1 of our players suggests the bias is on your end not mine. I agree we are both pretty awful though.
Out of interest, for me a combined XI would look something like this:

    Pantilimon
    Janmaat O'Shea M'Bemba Yedlin(?)
    Cattermole M'Vila Wijnaldum
    Perez
    Mitrovic Defoe

I actually have more of your players than ours <laugh> There are a lot that are much of a muchness either way though. Colback/Cattermole, Yedlin/Dummett, Pantilimon/Krul, O'Shea/Coloccini. That's the way I'd go though.

    1 , just 1 little point JC.

Not much to base an argument upon.

And I'd rather have Big Sam at the helm than Wally.

I'd take Janmaat all day tbh mate... Possibly Haidara over PVA also, but lets be honest with those two it would be a matter of who's slightly-less-**** in any given week.

I also think Sissoko could do a job for us although not really sure where he'd fit into Big Sam's system?

you should watch us more often.....
you obviously know our team well, with Yedlin at left back, ffs.

i'd have Janmaat, Wij and Perez from your lot, but that's it

When you're anticipating getting about 32-35, 1 point can make a massive difference, for both of us ! <laugh>

I'm fairly sure he's played there for you. I know he's more of a right back or a right midfielder. I put him in there because we don't have a competent left back between us <ok>

Hardly anything between them for me, 2 passionate but limited footballers. I give the edge to Cattermole but there's nowt in it really.

As long as its a good game - regardless of RESULT - Tufties club are happy - bit sad really - they need to know results are the key - winning games leads to improved quality football - along with success & TROPHIES - ooops - 50+ years ..... thats the problem up there !!!
