We got penalties last year because we had the 2 best wingers in the league running at pace at defenders, the penalty in the play off final was nailed on. Holloway started off ok but later in the season he started messing about putting his own stamp on the team and we turned **** and nearly missed out on the playoffs, during the play offs he went back to a defensive formation and we looked good again. Im not being ignorant about other teams players. Our best defender in Ward was here last year, our best defender Jedinek was here last year, Bolasie is on current form one of the best wingers in the league and he was here last year. Can you say the same about cardiff? Marshall has had a great year but who else from their squad last year? Some of your players have stepped up but most of you best players are transfers, and theres nothing wrong with that, I think out of all 3 promoted clubs who've bought the best but I wouldnt say the players that bought you up were better than ours.
Totally right. I'd say our only genuine 'top peformer' this season who was here last would be Elmo. Meyler, Chester and Rosie werent really in the team at the start and have acquitted themselves well, but they wont be anywhere near PotY which I assume is your point? Our best players by miles have been Davies and McGregor for a combined fee of under £4m. Brilliant business.
