it doesnt mean we played well though. We were the better team admittedly. Anyway teams that are playing badly but winning games wont be winnin games all season. Teams who are playing very well but losing games will turn it around and start winning games
Sorry Josh have to disagree with you their. Scum last season hardly performed well and won the league. Picking up points when playing badly is a key factor to a league winning side. Results first, performance second.
The problem is we very rarely get a performance under Grayson. Most of our success in League 1 was down to picking up results at the start of the season without ever playing well. The results dried up eventually. We need to see good performances to see that progress is being made. And we didn't play very well against Boro, they were poor.
i think you have misunderstood what i said. Yes winning games while playing badly is a sign of a good team however, you will not continue to win games, no team will. the mancs were organised and knew how to grind results, thats why they won the league, they werent playing as well as other teams that were up there but they were still dominating games. If your playing well, the results will follow. We are not playing well and we need to turn that around
And teams that get those kind of results are usually based on a solid defence. If the goals dry up, we lose. It's as simple as that. Four defeats in a row, without scoring, in League One!
i THINK we all know where we stand after the game tonight,Poyet has been backed by his chairman having spent 20x SG budget whatever that twisted old b d says we have spent £75k on a goalkeeper and perhaps £100k on Pugh in the January sales. The rest Brown Fossell Mika Rochuba Odear were either free or loanees with a clause to obtain Odear on a free at the end of his loan . How can you possibly expect to get promotion on this kind of investment Bates
