I don't think the importance of this performance & result can be overestimated. Had we lost to Exeter, even though there are 44 games to go, the doubts and the moaners would have set in. As it is, it's the other way around and, football fates willing, we could be in the play-off zone by Wednesday morning, which could set the snowball rolling the other way. Here's hoping anyway.......
Your right notDistant.....but we have seen many false dawns in recent years.....so I'm not getting over excited just yet. Some say that Exeter weren't that bad.......I'm just aware that they have had a player embargo this summer.....and illness in the squad recently and changes in the boardroom....I assume they still have a boardroom seeing they are trust run. I think some of their supporters are fearing the worst this season.....they are desperate for some new blood in the squad to freshen things up. Stevenage will be more of a litmus test to see where we are at present.....lets hope they continue on a high.....it is time that Home Park became a fortress again....it makes so much difference winning regularly at home.
"some say that Exeter weren't that bad". Me for one and did say so much further up before the idiots got in. Exeter are definately not the worst team we will see with or without embargos. You are right notdistant. Failure this season in this fixture would have set a tone. I think it might have rubbed off on the team as well. Like plym however, I'm not about to start counting any chickens for a little while. At the moment it is one win out of two and that is all it is. After another ten games lets see where we are and how it's going. We have plenty of time yet to get excited or gloomy.
