Varying points on here but the most salient being circumstances - I live a long way away and didn't go - I do though count myself a loyal supporter - we all have to juggle a 21st century life and costs and this means our showing will be up and down. I do believe that in better times PFC would have a good core of 20 - 25K supporters in a stadium that can hold that many and at a fair cost....but currently we have a loyal base of about 14-15K - and possibly although not the best fans in the country or the loudest I do think they are amongst the most loyal - in my countless visits to FP I have never heard the team boo'd or jeered off the park....call it blind faith in the team and the city - we will I believe see a period of 10K crowds as we slowly re-build - if by some miracle we stay up then who knows.....some may think we are getting just desserts - I myself don't - those who have made the organisation that runs us are the people who deserve punishment - the team, the fans, the employees - they don't. He certainly does get a giddy turn, meowth, when any mention is made of attendances (especially at Fratton Park). The poor little love.........
As I have said before we were the same when at the Dell and couldn't fill it. Attendances do not count for anything other than the amount of money going into the club and in today's world gate income is only a small part of that. More concerned by the sh1t coming from so called football fans who have forgotten the pain they supposedly felt when situation was reversed.
