Frustrating first half.
Lincoln have pressed us well and restricted our creativity. McKenna will need to give the lads some new instructions and work out a way to get us back in the game. I have a feeling that the subs will bring us the goals as Lincoln tire and we bring fresh legs and energy on. Two goals in the last half hour will nab us the three points.

 

We can’t always rely on late goals. We seem to need the first half to figure out a game plan.

Late goals are mostly a result of teams sitting in against us and restricting the space. We eventually tire them out with our pressure and the gaps to score appear deep in the game. It's going to be a similar story today. We do need to start scoring early to force teams to come out a bit more.

 

Have we left our shooting shoes at home? Much better, different team.

I’m saying we need to be more dynamic. We can’t get promoted playing out the same pattern every week and regularly losing the first goal. We need to be trying to win the game in the first half.
