so much the same as most managers in this league. You somehow have this impression that NP and BCFC are the only ones in this boat. It’s a realisation of where we are, and likely to be for another year or 2 yet.

Yet there are still some, as well as some on this site, that don’t rate him and quote his lack of assists, and having scored no goals as proof.

They might not have seen the perfect assist yesterday!! Most players would not have thought to make such pass + and IMO, these "some" don't see the positions he puts himself into to receive the ball and the amount of times he breaks up the oppositions possession...
Have to say, Scott played a blinder yesterday, as did Dasilva

I just watched the highlights, small margins cost us here, Weimann’s miss was unbelievable, especially the the form he’s in. That goes in and at 2-0 maybe puts the game to bed. Then for the equaliser, another huge question mark against O’Leary, as a keeper, you have to push that out to the side, you can’t palm it right back in to the middle of the goal. 2 penalty shouts for us, and if VAR was involved, I reckon we would have got both, then right at the death Pring hangs on too long to the ball and and they break and equalise. Some bad luck, and real naveity cost us yesterday, hopefully the 2 youngsters will learn form it.

I know that you are trying to defend the size of the latest debt that was run up in 4 years by a doubling of our wage bill and we are already close to breaking FFP whereas other clubs either are not as close or don't care, but below is the deals so far in our division.

From what I can make 16 (17 including us) of our opponents have signed players in this window, six of them have already signed 2 players, one club have signed 3, 3 clubs have signed 4, one has signed 5 and one has signed 6 so far.

Cardiff are the club that have signed 3 including Hughill on loan from Norwich who has scored today.

I would suggest that more than several of our championship rivals have faired significantly better than we have financially during the past 2 years.

Simply not true, we had a profit in the season before COVID hit ffs.... read the reports. We started going into the red as the lockdown and lack of income kicked in. Yes, the size of the squad and the wages made that debt huge, but again every club has that. We were solvent and doing well before COVID.

Possibly, the second one was not as clear cut. I would have been happy with a point pre-game, but to be leading on 94 mins makes it a tough one to take.

    Only because of the transfers.

As I said more than several of our rivals have seemingly faired better than we have, why would that be?

but we DID make transfers, so we were doing what is known as trading, it’s a business model that companies employ to make money. As much as I think MA got it wrong at the end, he was good at it 3-4 years ago, the figures back that up. We signed a lot of players in the summer, so no more room in this window, NP said at the time he would rather do business in the summer, rather Jan window. Our most prized assets/saleable assets are all players who were at the club before NP took over, he has not brought in any assets so far that we would likely sell for a profit. Maybe in time Atkinson or Tanner, but certainly not King, James, Simpson or Klose.

We signed a lot of players in the summer?, again not compared to most of our rivals, who I repeat seem to have come through covid in a better financial position than us, I would also suggest that none of the left overs from the past 3 or 4 seasons would bring in a profit.

PS:- King, James, Simpson and Klose were all free signings so that is a ridiculous comparison. Unless you can name the host of free signings over the past 5 years who we sold for profit? Even if you could find one it wouldn’t come close to the 10mil spunked on 2 strikers, the losses on Eliasson, Engvall, Duric and several others. Pearson has actually paid a fee on 2 players and as you have pointed out they have a good chance of turning a profit.

Another point I didn't think we'd get but yet again we fail to protect a lead in stoppage time. How many points has that cost us this season ? Must be 10 or more ?
What was going on down our left hand side as PNE crossed for the equaliser ? we had 2 players and neither of them near their player
And sorry, the guy who scored the equaliser caught it well enough although it wasn't a massively powerful shot, but for me, yet again, O'Leary didn't cover himself in glory

play 3 at back [ most of the time ] then basically crowd the defence with 5! 2 in middle and 3 up front with nowt to do so flood back and they get lucky in the confusion.

could maybe swap NP & CF for LJ & JM for rest of season! ....
