It is really tunnel vision to put coutinho in the same bracket as silva and ozil. Silva IMO is the best in the premiership in his position. Any team having him will be up there at the top. Ozil is in the same category. Not as influential and skilful as silva and may be still trying to get used to the pace of the premiership. Coutinho on form is very good but not in the same class IMO. But to compare him to the other two is like comparing your VW to an Audi and a BMW. May be very good and outperform the other 2 on some elements but not in the same class of car.
i think personally its an insult to put silva in the same bracket as these 2, he's on a dif level. why only those 3 any way? and even though i can see why this was started,Ozil hasn't done much for me yet to justify anything. Sanchez has been there 5 mins and literally got arsenal qualified for cl, and wellbeck looks like showing the form i knew he had any way. those 2 have done more in 5 mins at arsenal than ozil has in a whole season, well had more important impact for them any way. despite the neutral opinion shown lol, i am yet to be convinced by ozil, and for him to be refered to form wise in the last 3-4 yrs says it all, thought this was in the prem, would i have got away with saying that for coutinho if he had come from madrid? of course not lol. ozil came from madrid, so of course he is going to have more class and skill than coutinho, but as of yet i havent seen it in an arsenal shirt, and we know coutinho is better than what he is showing, quite an easy thread to create when one team thrashes another team in europe and one plays poor and lost coutinho has time on his side, he will get better, what worries me more is will those around him?
Play Ozil through the middle and he becomes a different player. Coutinho certainly has world class potential - give him another 5 years and I think he can become a great. But at the moment, Silva is the best followed by Ozil.
that could be a number of things, going so long without a trophy, fan pressure, spending lots of money in transfer market, coincidence etc etc.
For me Ozil makes the most of what little skill he's got but across the season flatters to deceive. Coutinho is right at the start of his career development. He's already shown the ability and a willingness to learn. That's why I put him in the same class as Silva. Ozil has already displayed at Arsenal that he is either not prepared or is unable to adapt his game to the needs of the team. Therefore his value to the team is already more limited than Coutinho's. So, in the medium to longer term I truly believe that Coutinho is the better bet.
I could not imagine Silva, and am not sure about Ozil, playing a deeper midfield role. But Coutinho does it well (when on form). Maybe it should Fabrigas vs Hererra vs Coutinho
Ozil has had some huge dips in form for Arsenal tbf. At times he's really struggled. But he is also capable of magic. At Real Ozil often only played 60 minutes, but at Arsenal he often plays 90. Maybe his form drops because he cant handle that many minutes over a season. Personally I'm a huge fan of Cazorla. I think he's an incredible talent.
Well 3 years and about 8 months. But Ozil has been a regular first team player since was about 19 at Wolfsburg before playing at Madrid where as Courinho was only ever a bit part player. So Ozil does have much more game time experience, obviousky comes because he is a better player as well though.
I don't support any of the clubs that those players play for so would consider myself unbiased (2 of them are rivals though). I'd go with Silva first as he's a fantastic player who has been key to City and Spain's success. Ozil second as, when played in his correct position, he has shown world class talent for Real, Arsenal and Germany. Coutinho third as he's achieved nothing so far and is currently a squad player for an average Liverpool team.
I dont even see Coutinho and Silva as the same type of player. Silva players ---xxxxxxx--xxxxxxx-- Here-----here-----here --------xxxxxxx--------- And IMO is best when building from wide with freedom. Compare him to Cazorla, Oscar, Nasri, Lallana, Sterling. Coutinho plays ------Here----Here---- -xxxx----Here---xxxxx ----------xxxxx Coutinho can play wide but his best strengths, passing, are better exploited in central areas and building from deep. Compare him to Herrera, Fabrigas, Ozil, Wilshere.
I thought you were on the wind up until I saw below that you've said this is supposedly your actual opinion What little skill he has? Lol. He's one of the most talented midfield players in the world and has shown it in the three best leagues in Europe and on the international stage. Your assessment of him is a total joke.
another one who uses the dont support any of the clubs so not bias argument lol. firstly, we are on about the in the prem, so to bring real(again!!) and germany into the equation is laughable and coutinho should have been in the brazilian midfield with how crap they was at the world cup any way. ozil was in a team that finished 4th in the prem coutinho 2nd, your comments were fair enough up until that point but blatantly ended with a utd fans view.
