Everyone knows Premier League and Serie A are traditionally the two hardest leagues to win. Put Guardiola in either of those leagues and he'd be found out. Bayern was the easy option and he's making a pigs ear of that. Found out by Dortmund in the Super Cup Final and no better than Leverkusen/Dortmund in the Bundesliga thus far. That was only the case at Inter.
Fair enough at inter but at Chelsea he left us in good shape. A spine of Cech cole terry lamps Essien Drogba Mikel etc that won many more trophies in the next few years
Spot on. Guardiola left Barca with major problems, one of which was lack of cover at CB for the injury prone Puyol and Piqué. For all the hype re: Barcelona 2010 and 2011 are the only years where they've truly been the best team in the world. They didn't do it over a span of around 6/7 years like. Sacchi's Milan.
IMO Barca were the best for a good part of 2009 and 2012 too. They had won 14 in a row before Chelsea conquered them at the Nou Camp and Jose's Real finished them off in the league.
Saying he left Inter in bad shape is a bit harsh, they had a very 'experienced' side and had a couple of brilliant youngster in Balotelli and Santon coming through under Jose. He wasn't going to turn down the biggest job in world football when Madrid came along.
Mourinho is a fantastic coach no doubt it. I think that Jurgen Klopp is a better coach than him though. I would for bhim to manage manchester United one day. I do agree though that Mourinho doesn't really leave teams in good shape. He is better for the short term and not long term.
Fair enough, he does leave clubs, football associations and journalists shattered when he leaves. They all need a break from Jose after three or so years... he is pretty exhausting!!
