Match Day Thread Oxford Utd vs Pompey

Pompey waste a throw allowing Oxford the chance to attack but they waste it. Pompey try to attack but the pass is cut out. Both teams seemingly still failing to string passes together.

 

Pompey on the attack, but stopped by Oxford who try to attack themselves but cut out and clear long, Naismith gets the ball and passed to Evans who crosses with no one there, Whatmough gets the ball and passed to Bennett who shoots and forces Eastwood to save and put it out for a corner.

 

Evans with the corner, headed clear. Pitman's follow up easy for Eastwood.

 

Oxford on the attack but wayward passing slows them down and fizzles out their attack.

 

Pompey in posession, stringing some passes together before a long ball is too long for Pitman and Oxford have it back.

 

Whatmough defending well again.

 

Oxford try to capitolize on a Pompey mistake but Talbot cleans up and prevents anything coming from it.
