RLB: Mayenda is in concussion protocol until Sunday, he's fine, we just have to be careful Seelt is available. Mundle - available a week before playoffs, Cirkin on bench hopefully, Ballard, Alese next week. Poveda 5th of May Huggins is training but has had a 12th month lay off Anderson took his opportunity - it was positive This period was a bit unusual but it gave us time to rest players, Saturday will be closer to the right dynamic With 46 games you have to manage the squad, it has been useful to challenge the players with good and a few bad experiences Oxford - we have to be fully involved otherwise we will be punished We want to achieve more, we are focused on the play off and being the best possible We need subs to react for different scenarios, we need the full group available The decision for the team sheet will be more difficult now, everyone wants to be in the team, more difficult for me It will be another problem in the premier league (if we get there) We have been pretty consistent throughout the season, against the top 3 we felt that we were in those games, we have to stick to our game model and play to our strengths We have to deserve promotion - it will be tough
Seelt available. Poveda around 5th May Mayenda, Mundle, cirkin, Ballard, alese all aimed for next week Huggins training but has obviously had a year off and needs time positive
Enzo in the middle for me getting familiar with those central patterns of play and the other midfielders from there.
Sounds like we've timed people getting back relatively well. Mundle being back for the final game to get a bit of match fitness is great.
Encouraged that he's said Saturday will be closer to the "right dynamic". I assume by that he means a more fully strength team.
I think RLB is a clever man who wants himself to be a success, even more than he wants it for SAFC. Just guessing but, by the way he baled out of the cups, he thought a 46 game season was already more than enough, especially as the French L1 has 34. It's possible that his mentality took a while to catch up and that his training routines, etc, were a little out of synch. That would possibly start to explain his reluctance to rest players, make subs, etc. He seems to be taking steps to address that, hence his use of players simply to get onto the pitch, irrespective of position or results. Time will tell whether he's a good manager or not ... ... but he took a demoralised rabble, from last season, and took us to the top. Oxford should tell us quite a lot this weekend.
Wilson needs to get back into the goals this weekend. Chance to get most minutes through the middle with Mayenda being out.
The closer it gets and the more I hear, the more I'm pissed off I can't get. Just looked at trains again and it would just be daft for a basically meaningless game. It's been a bit of an aimless stroll recently but I think it's about to get serious.
Isidor to score 7 to get himself back in the top goalscorer competition. Finally scores a header for the 7th. Hat trick is currently 80/1 so easy money really.
I'm not sure how I feel about playing a full strength team. Particularly the final game I'd be quite happy if he rested all our key players to ensure their fitness. Give players who need minutes game time but I'd be resting most of our key men tbh. I don't really care about momentum, just as long as the players are ready. These last two games are nothing more than training exercises for me
Yeh I'm not bothered about momentum but I am bothered about familiarity and getting the 11 used to playing with eachother again. On their patterns of play, the press etc.
Fk it back to normal. 1-6. This is where we scare the sh*t out of the other play off teams. Sweeping football, early goal and a confidence boosting win. Mepham, O9, Isidor ( 2 penna's) Roberts & Jobe. Once again cheers RTB.
The current team is currently playing at less than the sum of it's parts, much less. If they play as well as they can that gives us a chance ... ... if they play at the top of their form, it's promotion
