I have today written a personal letter to the Allams advising them that if they want to repair the damage they have recently wrought, and once again endear themselves to the Hull fans, they should consider a change to a real tiger print strip for next season with a small, yet tasteful, prosthetic tiger tail attached to the rear of the shorts - the players also to wear tiger face paint for each game. I have assured them that this will work in their favour, popularity wise, as it will help give far greater credence to the 'mauled by the tigers' chant ... Now there is no need to thank me ... I've done this for the greater good of the game and I hope it sets a trend.
I actually think our colours are better than most teams. I think teams in plain red or blue tend to look quite good too but there's something evil about red and white stripes to me (maybe it's the memories of getting beat every year at Shef Utd, Sunderland and Stoke) and as for all white teams, !
Instead of mauled by the tigers the new chant could be humped by the camels, although it would need more than hand movements for that song....
Ditching the stripes for the season we got promoted to the prem was my favourite strip! Seemed to be something much more classy about that shirt
I like the fact we dont have the usual red or blue main colour but Im not that keen on our colours but I wouldnt want them to change I might be contradicting myself but the easiest way to explain it is that I would never buy black and amber clothing if it wasnt our colours but I love wearing our colours
Cardiff's owners have binned the idea now anyway. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-south-east-wales-18022700
He who pays the piper calls the tune. We should know that already here from the events of the last 10 days.
Agreed. The first season PL kit was quality and got us noticed the world over. This seasons is ok as well. Plain amber shirts just make us look like Wolves (ie.2nd season PL kit) but the fusion blue away strip was nice imo.
I'm surprised there are any City supporters who don't like our kit. I think it gives us a nice little separation from the rest, along with our nickname. There are so many teams with Red or Blue kits, with their nicknames simply being "The Reds" or "The Blues".
